Yamaha opens its 2027 European intake

Yamaha Motor Europe has opened registration for the 2027 YZ BLU CRU FIM Europe Cup. The manufacturer programme is aimed at young racers already competing on a YZ65, YZ85 or YZ125 and links national racing to an international season finale and a later support pathway.

Three classes have fixed age windows

The published eligibility bands are 8–12 years for YZ65, 11–14 for YZ85 and 13–16 for YZ125. Registration closes at 23:59 on 28 February 2027. Entry does not itself guarantee a SuperFinale place: registered riders compete through the season for one of 120 positions across the three classes.

The SuperFinale returns with the Nations

The 2027 SuperFinale is scheduled at Assen in the Netherlands from 8–10 October, alongside the Motocross of Nations. This newsroom briefing records the manufacturer’s youth-development route and registration conditions; spectator promotion for the event remains a separate editorial slot.

Results lead to a Masterclass—not an automatic contract

The top three riders, two selected wildcards and the highest-placed female rider in each class are invited to Yamaha’s BLU CRU Masterclass. After that two-day programme, one YZ125 rider is selected for a Yamaha-supported EMX125 campaign in 2028, while one YZ65 and one YZ85 rider receive specialised Yamaha support and GYTR parts.

What young riders should verify

Age is only one part of eligibility. Riders and families should use Yamaha’s official registration process and confirm the applicable national-series, licence and motorcycle requirements before entering.
