A new step between first rides and a larger bike

GASGAS has added the MC-E 2.12 to its 2027 youth electric range. The new model uses a 12-inch front wheel with a 10-inch rear, while the returning MC-E 2 uses 10-inch wheels at both ends. The different front-wheel size creates another fit option without turning the model into a competition bike.

Three modes control the speed progression

The power settings cap top speed at 7km/h in mode one, 20km/h in mode two and 33km/h in mode three. GASGAS presents the modes as a way to increase pace in controlled steps. They do not replace supervision, permission to ride or appropriate protective equipment.

The motor sits inside the rear wheel

The electric motor is housed in the rear hub, so the bike does not need a chain or sprockets. That removes exposed drive components and reduces routine maintenance. GASGAS still instructs owners to clean the bike and check tyre pressures before riding.

Charging and fit are designed around repeat use

The removable lithium-ion battery reaches about 80 percent in 35 minutes and a full charge in roughly one hour. GASGAS also uses adjustable ergonomics: the seat height can be raised with basic tools so the bike can accommodate a growing rider for longer.

Safety hardware goes beyond the speed modes

A rollover sensor cuts power when the motorcycle tips over, while a wrist lanyard stops the motor if the rider’s hand comes away. Hydraulic disc brakes, WP suspension, KENDA tyres and an aluminium frame and swingarm complete the published package. Availability is through dealers and may vary by country.
