A British club victory in Portugal
Rogershill Women’s Team won the MOTOREX Women’s Club Team Award at the 100th FIM 6DAYS Enduro of Nations in Grândola, Portugal. Emily Elliot-Hall, Chrissie Harcourt and Canadian rider Katie McGeachy represented the team through six days shaped by heat, deep dust, poor visibility and demanding terrain.
Elliot-Hall leads the individual result
Elliot-Hall also finished first in the women’s club individual classification and recorded her third consecutive 6DAYS finish. Harcourt completed the event on her first attempt. McGeachy timed out on the opening day, used the club-category restart provision and completed the remaining days.
The result needs its full context
The FIM’s official pre-event entry report listed Rogershill as the sole team in the Women’s Club Team Award. The title is an official classification win, but the achievement was primarily one of completing the centenary event’s six-day test rather than defeating another women’s club squad. That distinction belongs in the record alongside the result.
Why the club category matters
Great Britain entered 14 club teams, the largest club contingent from any national federation. Club awards create a route into the 6DAYS beyond the national World Trophy selections and put local teams, first-time riders and experienced finishers on the same international course.
