Two former MX2 champions form the MXGP pair

Maxime Renaux will join Andrea Adamo in Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s 2027 MXGP line-up. Both are former MX2 world champions and will race the works KTM 450 SX-F. The MXGP side remains under the Rome-based organisation led by Davide and Claudio De Carli.

The works MX2 group carries three riders

KTM lists Simon Längenfelder, Janis Reisulis and Valerio Lata on the works KTM 250 SX-F programme. Lata will work within the De Carli structure, while 2025 world champion Längenfelder is paired with incoming recruit Janis Reisulis.

Van Venrooy adds two factory-supported MX2 seats

The Van Venrooy KTM Racing team will field Karlis Reisulis and Australian Byron Dennis as factory-supported MX2 riders. Dennis enters his first full World Championship season after top-ten Grand Prix results in China and Australia, while Karlis joins his younger brother Janis inside KTM’s wider programme.

The announcement also names a rider coach

Former Grand Prix winner Marc de Reuver becomes Red Bull KTM’s official rider coach. That appointment adds a defined development role around the seven-rider MXGP and MX2 structure rather than leaving the roster as a list of race seats alone.

What the confirmed structure does not claim

KTM’s announcement confirms five works riders and two Van Venrooy-supported riders. It does not publish title guarantees, performance targets for each athlete or every contract length. Euro MX Community records the named 2027 seats without assigning destinations or outcomes to riders not included in the official roster.
