Round three lands near Dunkirk

Ronde des Sables is confirmed for Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 November 2026 at Loon-Plage in northern France, near Dunkirk. The FIM calendar places it as round three of the 2026/27 Sand Races World Championship; the official French registration page identifies it as round two of the CFS Motoblouz season.

Why this weekend matters

Loon-Plage moves the world series onto the deep northern French sand at an early point in the championship. That makes it a useful test of pace, traffic management and endurance without turning the event into a prediction: no result is assumed before the racing starts.

Several races share the two-day programme

The official FFMoto registration lists Moto, Juniors, Amateurs, Espoirs, Vintage and Quad/ATV categories. Each group has its own competitive context, while every rider must read changing lines, manage visibility in traffic and keep the machine working through sustained sand.

Fans have one official event hub

Moto Club du Littoral 59 is the named organiser. Courses sur Sable publishes the programme, entry list, practical information and live links for the weekend. Spectators should use those organiser updates for final access details and any schedule changes before travelling.

Status checked and the route ahead

Euro MX Community verified the date, place, championship status and organiser on 1 November against the FIM, FFMoto and Courses sur Sable calendars. The next world championship stop is scheduled for Monte Gordo, Portugal, on 27–29 November; open the Euro MX Community race calendar for that date and the rest of the European MX and enduro programme.
