Race feedback changes the production bike
Ducati has updated both the Desmo450 MX and Desmo450 MX Factory for model year 2027 after its first season of motocross competition. The changes target drive, ergonomics and robustness rather than replacing the 449.6cc desmodromic single-cylinder platform.
A 51-tooth sprocket resets the final drive
Both versions receive a new final-drive ratio built around a 51-tooth rear sprocket. Ducati also fits redesigned gear and brake pedal tips, a larger fuel-tank filler for quicker refuelling and Pirelli Scorpion MX32 tyres.
Durability gets a list of smaller revisions
The 2027 update reinforces or revises the starter-motor gear, water-pump oil seal, exhaust manifold, fork slider guards and engine mounting brackets. Individually these are detail changes; together they show where Ducati used its first racing season to focus on reliability and service life.
Factory means more than a different livery
The MX Factory adopts the standard bike’s 2027 revisions and adds its competition package. Ducati lists billet-machined triple clamps, protection for the sump and front brake disc, an RK MXU O-ring chain, a holeshot device and Wi-Fi-enabled Riding Mode adjustment through the X-Link app among the Factory equipment.
European availability is confirmed
Ducati says both the standard and Factory MY27 machines are arriving at selected European dealerships before distribution expands elsewhere. Euro MX Community records the confirmed equipment and European arrival without importing North American prices or market-specific suspension settings into the European specification.
Facts are frozen to the verification date shown above. Any later correction will be added visibly.
