Belgium takes both headline wins

Belgian riders topped both headline classifications at the Bibione Sand Storm in Italy, round two of the 2026 FIM Sand Races World Championship. Cyril Genot secured the Moto overall for Honda, while Yamaha rider Randy Naveaux won both Quad races and the weekend classification.

Genot turns second place into the overall

Genot began with second place on Saturday, then won Sunday’s ninety-minute Moto race after taking the lead late in a close contest with championship leader Håkon Fredriksen. The official FIM report records a winning margin of almost thirty-eight seconds. The combined result gave Genot the Bibione overall ahead of Fredriksen and Damien Knuiman.

Naveaux completes a clean Quad sweep

Naveaux backed up his Saturday victory with another win in Sunday’s one-hour Quad race. After rival Harry Walker retired, the Belgian finished almost two-and-a-half minutes ahead of Oliver Vandendijck, with Gleen De Swarte third. The two victories extended Naveaux’s unbeaten start to the championship.

Martinez wins Moto Women

France’s Mathilde Martinez added the Moto Women overall to her championship campaign. She followed second place on Saturday with victory on Sunday after Kiara Fontanesi retired around half-distance. Martinez completed thirteen laps, one more than defending champion Mathilde Denis.

The sand series moves to France

The championship resumes at the Ronde des Sables in Loon-Plage, France, on 7–8 November 2026. This briefing records only the official Bibione results and confirmed next date; it does not reuse race photography or infer championship outcomes beyond the published classifications.
