Beta adds the missing four-stroke middleweight
Beta’s 2027 motocross range now includes the RX 250 F, joining the RX 450 F four-stroke and the RX 250 and RX 350 two-strokes. The Italian manufacturer describes the 250 F as a clean-sheet project, with both its engine and chassis developed specifically for the new model.
Two injectors feed the new DOHC engine
The 250cc engine uses dual overhead camshafts and a timing chain on the right-hand side. Its dual-injection layout places one injector at the throttle body and a second in the airbox sleeve. Beta pairs the engine with a redesigned five-speed gearbox and a hydraulic clutch using spring washers.
A dedicated frame wraps around the compact engine
The RX 250 F receives its own frame with a tapered engine-cradle area and side-mounted cylinder-head connections. Beta says the layout was developed to increase torsional stiffness while retaining vertical flexibility; Euro MX Community records that engineering intent as a manufacturer statement, not an independent handling verdict.
Kayaba and Nissin complete the chassis package
Suspension consists of a 48mm Kayaba fork and 50mm monoshock with RX 250 F-specific settings. Nissin floating calipers act on 260mm front and 240mm rear Galfer discs. The MY27 range also adopts new Dunlop motocross tyres and a reinforced chain guide.
Start electronics arrive on the four-strokes
The four-stroke RX models combine launch control adjustable through five levels with quick shift, traction control and two engine maps. These are confirmed production features. Beta has not supplied an independent comparative test, so no performance ranking or lap-time advantage is claimed here.
